August 7, 2020 - Remaining 2020 Events at Halvor Lines Speedway Canceled
After much consideration and only 3 events left we are canceling the rest of 2020.

The initial start up costs that would have to be paid, the state restrictions limiting profitability, and the state’s continued unpredictability in their approach/tactics with COVID were a major factor. The financial risk was more than the track can afford.

We’d like to thank the City of Proctor for being supportive of the track as we explored opening. Good example of community leaders and not just politicians.

July 31, 2020 - Upcoming Events at Halvor Lines Speedway Canceled
Until further notice all upcoming events are currently cancelled.

We are meeting as a board next week to further discuss the financial feasibility of having any events this year.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. We will share our plans for the rest of the year after the meeting.

Spike McDougall, VP

July 1, 2020 - July Events at Halvor Lines Speedway Canceled
All events scheduled through July at Halvor Lines Speedway are canceled.

After an analysis of all the initial opening costs and the additional costs associated with COVID we can not afford the financial risk at this time.

We will re-evaluate this situation later in July. I’m hoping for a better outlook at that time.

Look forward to seeing you all at the races again.

Spike McDougall, VP
